Lauren Kulesa

Director of Operations

As the Director of Operations, Lauren leads the administrative, operational, and communications duties for the organization while supporting program and grantmaking activities.

Lauren started in the non-profit sector at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, an organization that operates health and wellness retreats in Western Massachusetts. From there she took her knowledge of mindfulness to the Hawn Foundation supporting operations and fundraising for MindUP, a K-12 evidence-based curriculum rooted in neuroscience that teaches the skills and knowledge children need to regulate their stress and emotions. This instilled in her a knowledge of the importance of early childhood development and she is thrilled to bring this knowledge base to her work with the Burke Foundation.

Most recently Lauren was the Operations Manager at Fenwick Hospitality Group overseeing daily operations, marketing and human resources practices for a group of farm-to-table restaurants based in Princeton, NJ. This experience helped hone her business management skills, educated her best practices in operations, and ensured that she always has the best restaurant recommendations.

Lauren is a graduate of Lesley University and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
